Central Place Council, which meets every other month, allows community members to share their thoughts regarding Central Place programming. Council members consist of district administrators, counselors, nurses, and students; community volunteers; school board members; faith and agency representatives; and Central Place staff. Council meetings are open to the public and serve as a time when council members are encouraged to ask questions and share ideas for improvement in regard to Central Place programs and activities.
Central Place Council allows staff to hear the voice of the community to better implement and develop programs throughout the year.
The staff at Central Place feels it is important to analyze each program offered to ensure that it runs smoothly and best meets the needs of families being served.
Each year in January Central Place staff meet to discuss and analyze each program component, and develop a plan for modifications as needed. The annual planning session allows Central Place staff to generate new ideas for implementation in the upcoming year, and has served as a valuable tool for improvement and self assessment.
Community members are always welcome to be on the council.
